Does Everything It Claims - Amazing SupplementFeb 11, 2011

First, let me begin this review by disclosing that like many people, I have a sensitive stomach when it comes to taking supplements. Vitamins can make me very nauseous. Because of this, at the advice of my doctor, I historically have taken double doses of children's daily multivitamins. Lately, they seem to not be doing much for me, so on a hunch I stopped taking them for a few days to see if I'd notice a difference. Sad to say, I did not, which led me down the path of finding an effective multi-vitamin that I could stomach.
Second disclosure: I'm a vegetarian, and my diet isn't as well-rounded as it could be because I rarely have dairy, and I don't like every single fruit and vegetable out there. So in searching for a solid multi-vitamin, potency/absorbancy were paramount factors.
I came across Alive on Amazon and was astounded at the positve reviews. Some people have been taking it for YEARS and are total diehard fans, yet I had never heard of it. I also ran internet searches and did my homework on Nature's Way. Being the skeptic that I am, I honestly figured it would be a couple weeks before any noticeable difference was apparent, if I noticed any difference at all.
Please forgive me - I know this sounds cheesy like an infomercial, but it's true - the very FIRST time I took Alive Women's Energy, even my busdriver noticed. He was like, "Wow - you're on fire this morning!" and when I got to work, a colleague said, "Okay, crackhead, you obviously got a lot of sleep last night." I'm sharp, focused, upbeat and energized, more so than usual. In fact, I went back to Alive's packaging to confirm there is no caffeine in these pills (there isn't).
While I realize that everything doesn't work for everyone, the high number of users happy with this product isn't a fluke. It's THAT good. Great product that meets its marketing claims, 5 stars.

By Kristi G., mom of Sage I usually don't like vitamins. Most vitamins don't do much for me. I picked up some of these on sale, and took one, expecting it would be good for me but not much more. I had SO much energy. I thought it was a fluke but I kept taking them every day, and they definitely have increased my energy level. I like too that they have chromium in them. I'm overweight and I know that is supposed to help a bit. Being more active helps too, so I think these are wonderful enough to be telling my friends about. These might just be the one vitamin that I actually can FEEL myself benefiting enough to take daily. I have so far! If you can get a sample or something, give them a try and see. I don't know if they work as well for everyone, but I got more peppy after the first one.

I've tried a couple dozen different multivitamins, and Alive by far is my favorite. Most multi's make me gag at the smell, and upset my stomach. After switching to a whole food vitamin, that is no longer an issue. (It is the B vitamins that stink.) The pills are on the large size, but can be split easily if needed. I feel better when I take these, something I never noticed with other vitamins. My husband also started taking the Men's version and is happy with the switch. I would recommend these to friends and family.

Like others, I was skeptical about what just one vitamin tablet could do. I could not afford the expensive vitamins I use to take several years ago that my health professionals recommended. My recent blood work was showing I had to do something and my digestive disorder makes it hard for me to eat many whole foods for the proper nutrition. Earlier this year I tried a couple of other brands but not only did I not feel any difference but my blood work did not change either. I prefer to use supplements that are created from natural whole food products and Alive promised that. With tongue in cheek, I decided to give it a try and all I can say, is that I am so glad I did because it has changed my life.
I know it sounds phony but my story and review are completely true. Just as other reviewers have claimed, I noticed that after the very first dose that I suddenly felt ALIVE and oh, that energy! After years of illness and a very sedate lifestyle, I was shocked to have more energy than I knew what to do with. It was almost too good to be true, but day after day it continues to deliver. Ten years ago I became disabled due to several medical problems (Spine Problems, Osteoarthritis, Hypothyroidism, Gastroparesis/ slow digestion, Migraines, Chronic Pain Hypertension, and Fibromyalgia.) At 58 I thought that the best of life were over for me and that I was doomed to a life of being a very old lady. I had lived so long without energy, lack of endurance, poor focus, chronic pain and illness, missing out out on so much in life. Suddenly all this has changed. Since starting Alive, I still have my medical issues, but they are low key and getting better. My new energy helps me over ride a great deal. It is exciting because now I enjoy a life of renewed energy, endurance, focus, and drive. My blood pressure is better. It is like the hands of time have taken me back to my 30s. And the only thing I can point to is the addition of ALIVE vitamins in my life. Like I said, I know this sounds phony but it is true, and even my family stand by my claim.
Alive is affordable, you take only one tablet a day, it is derived from natural food products, no caffeine. It doesn't upset my stomach the way many other supplements do, and the best part is, "it works." I now can get up in the morning and get busy with my life, and have energy all day long. When I go to bed now I am able to get right to sleep and sleep well. In the morning I wake up refreshed. Since starting Alive, I have been able to help watch 3 of my grandchildren a few days a week. Normally they wear me out after an hour or two. Now they leave after a full day of activity and I still have energy and drive to do the things I need and want to do. My husband got worried when he saw me being so active day after day and he told me, I had better slow down, that I could not keep up this pace, and would soon crash. Ha Ha... That was before, but not anymore! After 3 months I am still running strong and feeling fantastic.
I am not a doctor, but I think the reason some people notice the great effects of Alive so fast, is that we were so depleted and that one pill was able to give us a kick start. If you don't notice it working right away, hang in there, and finish the bottle before you give up.

By Ruby Tuesday I actually didn't buy this through Amazon, but instead at a local CVS, but I liked them so much that I felt I should write a review here. I have a VERY sensitive stomach when it comes to vitamins, and so my #1 criterion when it came to choosing a new multivitamin, aside from nutritive value, was the way it would affect my stomach. I've been taking these for only a few days but I can already feel a HUGE difference. I can take these any time of day, even in the morning with breakfast, and my stomach is absolutely unaffected. The pills are on the big side, but they're very well coated and go down very easily. I love these!
