My skin's texture has improved dramatically since I started to take astaxanthin. I bought it because it is a powerful antioxidant that passes the brain and the eye barrier. I didn't know my skin would improve too.

I bought this at the recommendation of Dr. William Douglass, who runs a site online with health discussions. He seems to feel this is a very good antioxidant. The price is right, and I didn't see any side effects listed, so I decided to try it. I really like the softgel form, easy to swallow and digest. Haven't seen a change, but maybe that's because it is working. With supplements, it is difficult to decide on results, so I try to research the studies. Might add I get most of my reference volumes here. Like a kid in a candy store, but healthier.

Now Foods astaxanthin is a good value. It comes in 4 mg. softgels rather than the usual 2 mg. and the price is lower than other brands.

It may help prevent sunburn/brown spots/scars...and much more. Mercola.com has many articles about how awesome it is. It is an antioxidant much stronger than Vit C, E and more.

The Astaxanthin received is a quality product and a very good value. Most Astaxanthin's come in 2mg and this brand (NOW) comes in 4mg and usually cost less.
