I've been using barley green powder for over a year. I decided to try "NOW" brand because it's organic, I can get it in the 2 lb. container, and it costs less than what I've been paying. The taste and color is good but the texture is quite grainy. You have to add more water than you expected as it get's very thick and does not desolve all the way. I will finish this product, but I'm not sure I'll buy this product again.

By S. McClendon I drink barley grass for its supposed benefits and for the benefits of juicing in general. I recently ran out and purchased this brand because it was fairly cheap. My verdict: too grainy and it left a barley grass 'sludge' at the bottom of the glass that was very difficult to finish! Not dissing barley grass at all...but I'm honestly not fond of this brand.

By The Herald I am used to taking a dehydrated barley juice and paying out the @$$ for it, so when I saw the price on this I thought it would be worth a try. This is not a dehydrated juice it is the entire plant freeze dried and ground. I can't get past the grittiness of it. It is like swallowing soil. If you can deal with that it is, what they say it is and seems to be fairly well made i.e. it has a good color and smell.

tastes good (let it sit awhile after stirring into water so it soaks in). ive gotten so used to the taste i can mix it in an entire water bottle now & drink it just like water. one bottle has lasted be over a year (taking 1 TB most days a week).
