By Organicgirl I too just purchased this item and unfortunately did not read the reviews prior. The pencil is marked made in China. The only other writing on the pencil is HONEYBEE GARDENS Belgian Chocolate. It came wrapped in plastic wrap with no other insert or information.

By NolaKate I bought this eyeliner directly from the maker, Honeybee Gardens, and I was surprised to see that they are made in China and no ingredients are listed on the pencils themselves. Can I trust that they are made with pure ingredients? Unfortunately, I don't think so.

By T.F. Goes on smooth and comes off easy with soap and water at the end of the day. Night dark color as well. Though knowing I bought this 3 years ago, maybe I should replace it. :)

By Digigirl I purchased two of these pencils - brown and black. Brown for my eyelid just above my lash line and black for my upper eyelid just along the lashes on the underside.
The pencils work great for both purposes. I have found in the past that this type of pencil (wood that must be sharpened) tend to be harder than the twist-to-dispense type of pencils, so I was concerned. But no cause for worry - these pencils go on very smoothly without little to no pressure - no pulling or tugging of the delicate skin around the eyes. Easy to get a softer line or a sharper one by how hard you press. Contrary to another reviewer's experience, I had no problem smudging the pencil, and it has not worn off quickly, but stayed looking good.
I have not experienced any irritation or itchiness as mentioned by some others. Perhaps they have an allergy they weren't aware of. Although a bit more expensive than the grocery store brand pencils I was using previously, I feel it's a good value for high quality, natural ingredients in a pencil form that should last a good long time.
