Good StuffNov 06, 2011

Bought this for a family member. Fabulous results and have it on automatic order. The rest of us also tried it, curious you know, big fat nothing. So, it's not a cure all, but for those who need a little extra of this mineral, it is so absolutely fabulous and can make such a difference to their lives that there is no excuse not to at least try it.
For those as confused as I was about the difference between the 120mg claims and the 5 mg claims of this supplement - it turns out that A 120mg tablet of lithium orotate usually has 4.5mg--5mg of elemental lithium, so those that say 120 mg are refering to the orotate, and those that say 5mg are referring directly to the elemental lithium. Don't you just wish that they would just say that - sigh Bigger numbers does not mean more of the active ingredient.
This version of Lithium DOES NOT need to build up in the blood. In fact, it can't build up in the blood. It's designed to cross the brain barrier, do it's stuff and then get flushed from the body. Only needs a few days for the brain to react and alter it's other brain chemicals in response to the low doses.
Prescription litium builds up in the blood, and thus the need for regular blood tests to make sure it hasn't built up too much, and it isn't damaging your liver and/or kidneys.

So far so goodNov 19, 2011
By tatiana67 My roommate started on this a week ago when her depression just would not let up after several months. She was desperate for relief. Her medication did not seem adequate at all. So after researching options and dosages, she is taking 2 tablets 3 time a day. I know it's only been a week, but she has stabilized for the most part and is even feeling "good". She did not change any thing else. She is finally not waking up with dread, and is even making plans for the future, when about 2 weeks ago was so distraught. I am going to subscribe since I don't want to be without.

I buy this after a friend told me that research has been done that proves that people who take litium orotate have a smaller chance of getting Alzheimers. I thought "what the hey! I seem to be losing my mind anyways :)". After taking it for about a month I don't see any negative side effects. I also for some reason can remember things better, though I am not sure if it is because of this product. I do have a problem swallowing this little pill because of it's shape but that's not going to stop me from taking it!
Lithium Orotate 5mgApr 20, 2012
By pete These are small pills with 5mg of Lithium ion. They do not immediately melt in your mouth, so you do not get the bitter taste that you get with Li2CO3. If your doc prescribed lithium and you can tolerate the Lithium Carbonate, the prescription med is a $4 med at most pharmacies. The prescription will be cheaper. I have had no problems with the Lithium Orotate, but you will take a lot of pils compared to a 440mg Carbonate. You should probably still measure a lithium level, because if you don't, you are just guessing. See your doc if you can afford one.
