"Source Naturals' blue-green algae is wildcrafted and harvested in the prime upper regions of upper klamath lake, oregon, and is of the highest quality available. It's name comes from the two color pigments it contains: phycocyanin, which is blue, and chlorophyll, which is green, the short-chain, low molecular weight proteins yielded from this remarkable algae are easily reduced and assimilated in the body's digestive process. Blue-green algae also contains significant levels of vitamins, minerals and rich pigment nutrients that are hard to maintain adequate levels with a vegetarian diet."

WorksFeb 09, 2011

I read about this product from "Miracle Foods" by David Wolfe. It seemed like it was the "must have" nutritional supplement for me and my family. I have an amazing 18 year old son who will not eat a veggie unless I bribe him and I don't eat enough fish for health so this seemed perfect. If you want to see what it does, then please just google Blue-Green Algae and read about it...if you want to know if this works, then yes, it does. I feel great. My son has lost weight, hair, skin, eyes, nails growing beautifully. Cravings gone and energy up. My college aged daughter took it and immediately reduced her cold symptoms in one day. These are small pills...no fillers or casings. Just little green pills full of green goodness. Source Naturals is a great nutritional supplement company with great products. Take two a day and feel the greatness!

misleading packagingJan 07, 2012
By Viv T Misleading packaging - the front of the label (& Amazon's product description) lists these as 500mg - be aware this is for 2 tablets. Turn to the back of the container to read they are actually 250mg per tablet

I don't want to be without it.Oct 11, 2011

I'm pretty sure that there is nothing in this world greater than "Klamath Lake Blue Green Algae." It will nourish and detoxify you while giving you energy and brainpower. The first thing I notice when taking this product, is a sharp feeling of well being, followed by an extreme focused energy. In addition I feel a rush of stamina which inspires me to exercise for hours. As an artist I notice after taking 3 of these tablets, that I have intense creative energy, and as a school teacher, I can perform better without getting tired. Klamath lake is a natural lake in Oregon that is known to have some of the most potent Blue Green Algae on the planet. There are countless people who have testified to the wonders of Klamath Lake Blue Green algae. Give this brand a try, I'm using it right now as I write this review. Amazon's price is a lot lower than my local Food Coop, so I recommend you get it at Amazon (there's a great company on Amazon that I buy it from called "Herbal Mania." I would get it from them.

Bought this for energy....Apr 21, 2012
By KF I don't doubt that it eventually gives you energy but I've taken it about 3 times and it makes me fatigued and irritable. I heard some react this way until the levels of nutrients are restored in your body. Unsure at this point and can't afford to be more tired than I am, as I am a mother and work.
