By Marnie Funny, I thought it was just my bottle. I am the biggest fan of California Baby but so far two bottles of bubble bath have not produced bubbles you can blow with the included wand and a paltry amount in the tub. Very irritating, especially when you have a one year staring at you eagerly and impatiently to get on with it..

How I got gipped...Jul 25, 2008
By Mighty Mom I've been along time fan of this product, until they recently changed their formula. Now, every bottle that I buy is like water! You can't even blow bubbles with it! So I contacted California Baby, asking for a reason. Someone named "Sue" responded, and said that she would send me postage paid envelope to return the bottles I had. It's been a month now, and no envelope has arrived. Now when I email "Sue" about it, she either ignores me, or places the blame on another department in the company. So I'm still without bubbles, and it looks like CA Baby still has my money. I feel gipped!

They've changed their formula...and not for the better!Jan 27, 2009
By Mighty Mom I bought this product for a year before they changed the recipe. Now, the bubbles are watery and although it smells good, it's too expensive for what you get in return. And as a side note, I contacted the manufacturer twice, hoping they might be able to explain. Customer service never bothered to return my email or call. So needless to say, I don't buy thisproduct anymore.

FUN, NATURAL, NO CHEMICALS!!!Mar 10, 2006

This bath was so much fun! It smelled fantastic! The included bubble wand was a riot, we had bubbles all over the bathroom. Makes happy children (and adults, I used it too) and when the bath/play time is over...*POOF* right to sleep. I only wish I had purchased the bigger size, we used it every day.
This makes TONS of bubbles in the tub with only a little product. It is vegan, no chemicals, safe for the whole family.
Enjoy!

Reformulated and no longer all naturalJan 24, 2012

California Baby recently reformulated all of their products, and not for the better. Most now contain Sodium Benzoate which I try to avoid. It is a petroleum derivative so now, not only are CB products not "all natural", they contain a petroleum product! They claim on their website that this has improved the product but you do the judging... I am not paying a premium price for a lesser quality product!
My kids got a rash of little red dots all over their bodies are using this new formula. I returned my bottle to Target for a full refund and will not be buying any more CB products.
There was a huge uproar on their facebook page with dozens and dozens of parents irate over adverse reactions in their children to the new formulation and California Baby denied any formulation changes for months, and when they could no longer do that, they claimed that their definition of change and their customers' definition must be different, because they truly believe that they did not alter their products... So bizarre and a terrible way to run a business. They have since deleted all of the negative comments from their facebook page.
So, be forewarned that California Baby is no longer an all natural product and in my opinion, not worth the money anymore.
