5Only vitamin my dog will eatSep 21, 2011
By Valerie Mardick
I have been using these vitamins for over 2 years. It is the only vitamin one of my dogs will eat. Check out the dancing paws website if you are concerned about the lack of info on the label. They are a company wholly commited to your pets overall health.

5Human Grade IngredientsMay 10, 2012
By Ray
We've had 3 dogs since getting married in 1978, all golden retrievers. The first golden died at the age of 7 from cancer. After she died we got another golden. She died at the age of 7-1/2 from cancer. After she died we got our current golden. We've had her nine years and she's healthy, active and not overweight.

Our first two dogs were fed premium grade dog food. After losing our second dog to cancer we did some research on dog food and decided our third dog would not eat anything that we wouldn't eat, so as far as food goes, it has to be FDA approved for humans or she doesn't eat it. She has been fed nothing but table scraps. That doesn't mean everything left over, the dog gets! It is always in measured quantities so she has not become overweight. No dog treats allowed (again, if we wouldn't eat it she won't be allowed to eat it). What does all this have to do with dancing paws vitamins? They have human grade ingredients.

I certainly have not done a scientific study here but I can say this, feeding our dog table scraps has not harmed her health in any way. Dogs have lived long and healthy lives long before manufactured dog food ever existed. As insurance, we give her one dancing paws vitamin a day in case there is anything in our diet that she is missing.

Our vet, the same one we've had for all three dogs, knows how we're feeding our dog and every time we see him (annual exam) he just smiles and says she's doing great. He says "you're dog people, you know what you're doing". That sounds like a stamp of approval to me.

5Excellent Product! BreederMar 08, 2012

I am a breeder, and have used these vitamins for several years now. They are excellent, and I've had extremely healthy pregnancies in my breeding program when using these vitamins, also. My dogs love them.

1No specific content info givenFeb 15, 2010
By rwizard "rwizard"
It is impossible to consider this product as long as the ingredient list gives no information about how much of each substance is present. For example, is some hypothetical fat soluble vitamin "X" provided at 100 IU, which might be a safe and appropriate dosage of vitamin "X", 1 IU, which may be a meaningless and ineffective dosage, or 100,000 IU which may be a fatal dosage. We don't know. For that matter, is the information left off because they are failing to maintain stringent control of the contents, and they don't want to be accused of providing dosing that disagrees with what they have specified?

This may be a wonderful product. It may be a terrible product. Until they chose to provide specific and meaningful data, so that we, or our vets, can make a judgment, I would not consider giving this to my animals. Fortunately, there are competing products on Amazon which do have adequate information listed.

It this product listing is updated with proper information, I will be happy to edit my review accordingly. It is not my goal to speak ill of what may (or may not) be a good product. It is only my goal to insist that we be provided the basic information needed to look after the safety and well being of our pets.

1Too little info for safetyFeb 15, 2010
By rwizard "rwizard"
I have a real problem with this brand. They do not disclose adequate information to allow you, or your vet, to determine if there products are safe and effective. Until they do, I would avoid them like the plague. There are plenty of competing products on Amazon who are forthright with their information, and I would only consider them until this situation is corrected. If you do not know how much, or how little, of each substance you are giving your pet, you are playing Russian Roulette with their lives and their health.
