Every cold sore sufferer knows the sinking feeling of discovering that slight telltale swelling on the lip. I find that if I apply this stuff as soon as I discover the swelling, and keep applying it, the cold sore remains at the tingly stage until it disappears a few days later. There's no oozing, no cracking, and very little swelling or discomfort. Abreva had no noticeable effect when I tried it for one of my outbreaks, but Cold Sores Begone significantly reduces both the intensity and the duration of the sore every time I use it. As a bonus, the taste really is pleasant, and it's almost invisible.

Cold Sores Begone will helpFeb 05, 2006
By Perigrino950 I have to take exception to the previous review. I have had to deal with outbreaks of cold sores for over 30 years. I have been using Cold Sores Begone for the past 5 or 6 years to help alleviate the duration and severity of an outbreak. It does not prevent an outbreak and the name "Cold Sores Begone" is a bit over the top, but it does lessen the duration of the outbreak by 2 or 3 days. Others to whom I have recommended this product have said the same thing.
The product does not list lemon extract as an active ingredient, as the previous reviewer stated. The only active ingredient is allantoin. The previous reviewer has obviously not tried the product or know anything about it. Cold Sores Begone is worth a try if you have cold sore outbreaks. It has helped me.

It works from a cold sore suffererJun 07, 2007
By Joan C. Vellutini I have tried just about everything that is offered for cold sores whether it be over the counter or prescription. I have found that Abbreva does not work, it is a waste of money. I even had a prescription for medication that was suppose to lessen the effects of cold sores, it did not work. What has worked for me and many family members and friends is a combination of the supplement L-Lysine and Cold Sores Begone. Manytimes just when I feel the tingling in my lips, I immediately grab for the bottle of Cold Sores Begone, it does work. Follow up with a L-Lysine and you can stop the cold sores before they appear.
Helps with painMay 19, 2012
By Tiffany Crooker CS Be Gone Gave me a bunch to hand out and try. Every person I gave these to loved them and said it works great. If you bite your lips or get sores on the inside of your mouth these are great to have around. Within a few days your feeling better and the pain is gone and its healing. They can be caused from just about anything. Stress to dental work. I have a wedding coming up I am making sure this is in my bag just in case for me or the girls. The application is easy and made with natural ingredients. I liked these over others ive tried. Smells better, tastes isn't bad, and works faster! Company ships fast and has wonderful CS
Doesn't work for me.May 01, 2012
By Pillowtalk I was drawn in by the belief I could wave a magic wand & have my cold sore disappear, but this product doesn't do that! It doesn't even offer any pain relief from the constant blister of cold sores. Don't waste your money on this product believing it will help, because it won't.
