A miracle!!!Nov 30, 2009
By LR What a miracle. A cure for UTI that works, & has given me peace of mind that I don't have to keep running to the doctor and taking antibiotics that don't always work. I wish all women knew about this.

By L. Karpets This is a good quality product. I origianaly bought it at the vitamin shoppe, but was happy anyway. I had to go through 2 bottles to competely cure my uti during pregnancy. This brand has a slitely bitter aftertaste to it, but it really helped cure my uti. I came down with another uti (a year later) and decided to try a cheaper brand (brand called now foods), and I would say this brand is better/stronger qualty for some reason, because it works better and faster for me. But I also like the "now foods" d-mannose powder, because it is wayyyyy sweeter!!! I think I'm swallowing powdered sugar when I take the other brand. But this brand works good for me, so I take this brand every other time. If I have a bad uti (because I did'nt start taking care of it right away), I take 1 full teaspoon every 2-3 hours for 2-3 days, and then (if I feel better)I take the powder 3-4 hours apart, and go longer on the time when I feel better. Usually cure uti in about 1 week or a little more.
IF you're looking to take d-mannose to substitute it for sugar, I do not recommend this brand, try a different brand.

By sunnyday I have suffered with chronic severe bladder infections for over 8 years, since getting married. I would get an infection within hours of having intercourse every time without fail. I have been to many doctors including my urologist who "can't understand why" and just kept putting me on daily dosages of antibiotics and break-through antibiotics also (macrobid, cipro). Intimacy with my husband has been severely affected as I would not want him to even touch me. Strict cleansing routines, cranberry, etc had no effect on my situation. My urine cultures still always showed e.coli which is what this product cleanses out of the urinary tract. Out of desperation and a desire to get off of antibiotics (which weren't working anyway) I found a review on this product and bought it. I take a teaspoon every morning and night with water (it has no flavor) and an extra one after intercourse. If I have any uti symptoms (rare) I take one teaspoon every 2-3 hours until they are gone, usually only one day. I also have the capsule form which I keep in my purse if I'm out or have symptoms. I combine this product with taking 4-8 ounces of pure aloe vera juice daily(I use fruit of the earth brand from Walmart)mixed with juice or my protein shake to hide the flavor and take a probiotic. I am no longer paying for costly visits to the doctor, urine tests or prescriptions. This combination has saved my life and my marriage!
The KAL brand dissolves well and is available at local vitamin stores (for immediate need) but other brands seem to work just as well.
A GREAT help for IC sufferersDec 02, 2011
By DawnGrace I use 1/4 t every night before bedtime in glass of water to keep UTI flares at bay. Also stay clear of allergic foods that trigger the IC flares. D-Mannose also keeps my metabolism regulated and immune system working properly. It is NOT even advertised as a 'sugar substitute'--not at all what it is intended for. For bladder problems this is the best thing going.

I like the lid on this one. One side has holes to allow you to sprinkle the product like a salt shaker. The other side flips open to allow you to put a measuring spoon in and spoon out the product.
I was diagnosed with Interstitial Cystitis and my Urologist recommended that I undergo surgery to have a battery-operated device surgically implanted that would stimulate my nerves to cause me to urinate (IterStim therapy [...]). He said if I did not have this done I would have to be on anti-biotics, possibly for the rest of my life. Antibiotics are harmful to your colon and intestinal gut flora and I am not about putting foreign objects in my body!
I went in search of and that's when I found D-mannose. I do not take it daily anymore but I did for a while and it is what saved my sanity!!
Just recently I was having difficulty urinating. It was painful and what little bit I could get out was only drops of blood. I called my doctor's office and they couldn't get me in that day. I didn't know how I was going to make it through the night for the next day's appointment!! I was crying and telling the receptionist that I was going to end up in the emergency room if they couldn't get me in. She said they had no available appointments. After I got off the phone I remembered about D-mannose. I was SHOCKED when ONE does (teaspoon) enabled me to urinate, but I was FLOORED when the blood was completely gone from my urine after the second dose later in the day!! I actually cancelled my doctor appointment and continued to take D-mannose. This stuff is a MIRACLE and I NEVER WANT TO BE WITHOUT IT!! I will never be without this D-msnnose in my cabinet, EVER!!
I put a tsp in water and I do not even taste it. I've heard about others putting it in juice.
