No More Nasty Chemicals - and Last For YearsOct 26, 2008

It can be hard to believe that something like this is very effective until you try it. Too different from conventional deodorants. You may have to moisten the tip a bit before applying it.
Pros:
- It really works.
- Natural. Made from a certain type of mineral salts
- One stick will last for years
- Absolutely no scent
- Non-staining and invisible
- Not sticky at all.
Cons:
- Remember, this is a deodorant not an anti-perspirant

Good alternative for sensitive skinJul 20, 2008

I began using this product several years ago after searching for a deodorant that didn't make me break out regularly. I tried this because it doesn't have alot of the chemicals found in other deodorants. I hardly ever break out since I began using it. I keep it in the shower, and use it right after I'm done. The only problem I have with the product is that the package is designed to extend the crystal by turning the base -- like a typical deodorant. This works just fine, unless you don't turn it regularly. If you don't extend the crystal regularly, excess crystal accumulates around a kind of collar at the top of the container, and then you *can't* extend it. By the time I figured this out it was too late. Luckily, I took a hacksaw and cut the collar off, and now it works great. I still extend the crystal every morning to make sure it still works, just in case.

Fantastic Product!Oct 19, 2008
By John Muir As part of a generalized shift toward healthier, chemical-free personal care products, and in particular in reaction to mild rashes that had recently developed in my armpits, I purchased Crystal Body Deodorant Stick for Men and tossed out my normal Speed Stick.
I did extensive research on personal care products on the Environmental Working Group's website and found this to be a top rated deodorant for safety. I am extremely happy with this product.
1) It works extremely well. Simply wet the top of the salt-rock and apply very liberally to the armpits and surrounding areas after showering. It is invisible and leaves zero residue. Since using it I have had zero body odor, which is better than any previous deodorant product I have ever used.
2. It is healthy. There are no chemicals or metal compounds used by leading antiperspirants that actually prevent you from sweating by blocking sweat glands. You will sweat as much as you normally would with this product, but you will not smell since bacteria cannot grow in the salty environment it creates.
3. It is cheap and lasts practically FOREVER. You are basically rubbing a damp salt-rock on your body. One rock lasts for years.
I'm sure that results of this product vary from person to person. If you sweat excessively and generally smell due to your diet etc, then this may not be the product for you. But if you are just an average Joe looking to get something chemical-free to prevent BO this is a GREAT product!

By J. Loyd Ever since Gillette stopped making its deodorant gel, I've been looking for something to replace it. (Yes, they still have anti-perspirant gels, but they used to have a straight deodorant gel too.) This Crystal Body Deodorant really does the trick. I'm a stinky guy and I need deodorant. Not that other deodorants don't work, but of the half dozen or so I've tried the past few years, I like this one the best. It is as good as or better than anything else I've used, plus it's natural and a lot milder than anything else.
I don't like anti-perspirants because they don't work for me, I still sweat. So whether the chemicals in anti-perspirants are harmless or cancer causing is a moot point, they just don't work so why take the chance. Plus, I feel a stickiness when I do end up sweating.
This deodorant is just a block of some sort of mineral salt. You have to wet it to apply, or just don't dry your pits after you shower and it is moist enough to apply. Very mild, I haven't had any sort of reaction to it. You can even use it on other body parts like your feet.
This thing lasts forever. I've had mine for half a year and can't even tell that it's been used at all. I even feel like I put it on "thick". I rub it around my pit a lot more than the one or two swipes I would with a regular deodorant.
Remember, this is not an anti-perspirant. You will still sweat. The one drawback I've noticed is, sometimes if I'm wearing a tight undershirt and have a sweaty day, my shirt will start to pick up an odor even though my pits themselves won't stink at all.
The spray version works as well, it just doesn't last nearly as long. Best deodorant I've usedMay 09, 2010
By Bryan Well, I was a bit skeptical about this stuff, but on the advice of some friends, bought a stick to try out.
I work in a factory as a technician. I work 12 hour shifts repairing 450 degree ovens. I sweat a LOT. Other deodorants I've used (right guard, Brute, Speed Stick) would leave me with some B.O at the end of the day. This stuff has no scent at all, so I didn't think it would work. But, at the end of a day where I can ring my shirt out, my pits don't smell at all, so it's doing it's job.
After about 2 months of use, I can't actually tell that I've used any of it either. It looks just like the day I bought it.
