My favorite fish oilDec 02, 2011
By Kathleen M. Diehl This is my favorite brand (and "flavor") fish oil because it's the only one I've tried that doesn't give me fish burps. I find that taking fish oil on a daily basis (which I don't always do due to laziness) really makes a difference in my overall health. It especially helps with acne and oily skin. Acne is partially related to errors in fatty acid metabolism, and omega 3s help normalize this.

By B I found this company at the Arnold Classic last March and decided to order their product. This version is the best priced one and most importantly, it does NOT cause any burping even when taking on an empty stomach. With the flavoring, the capsules don't even smell bad when opening the bottle.

By Ben A study was performed on not just the benefits of fish oil, but on this particular brand. So, I'm not saying fish oil is my reason for the 5 stars. I recommend the brand... too many out there that haven't been scrutinized for quality.

I have a decent diet, but probably don't eat as much fruits and vegetables as I should. Because of this, I tried taking a multi-vitamin for a while, but didn't notice any difference. Maybe it worked, but maybe it didn't. Who knows?
I have moderately high cholesterol (genetic - it doesn't go down even when I eat really healthy) and take a mild statin; however, my wife is a nurse and told me that I should be taking fish oil. I weigh about 200 pounds and am a fairly large guy, so I've been taking 6 pills a day (3 in the morning and 3 at night). The gel caps have a mild caramel flavor and the fish oil is orange flavored, but very mild. Sometimes I swallow them whole, but sometimes I chew the capsules, drink the oil and discard the shell. Either way works fine.
I previously had somewhat chronic rashes on my legs, but they have gone away after taking fish oil for a month. I also had some joint pain in one of my hips, which has gone away too. Maybe it is all in my head, but my hair even seems shinier and healthier.
It is nice to take a supplement and to actually see noticable benefits. Also, this supplement claims to remove mercury from the oil, so I feel safe taking it.
If you do the monthly shipment plan, the cost is very reasonable. One note - the monthly plan does not give you Amazon prime shipping, but since you are getting free shipping every month, it shouldn't matter too much.

I have been using this oil for over a year and Barlean is one of the best brands. Because of taking 4000 mg a day I have been able to quit my advil. I had read fish oil works for imflammation and it does for me.
