By Kevin I bought this because i think the light color will be just like daylight. But I was wrong. The light emit from this bulb look yellowish and a little greenish. The brightness is okay compared to many other full spectrum bulbs on the market. Still, I don't like the color.

Well... where to start. Start with its comparison. Enter Reveal bulbs... on the EAST coast, they are pretty little purple things that come in a bazillion sizes, wattages, clear or frosted, you have a serious selection at Lowe's awaiting you. Enter Chromalux... expensive, as in more expensive than 8 GE Reveal bulbs of equal use/function...
I was told by a friend how these last for 5-7 years, how they are beautiful, how they are so many things superior to GE Reveal (and I got 2, this 3 way and a regular 100W, mostly because I had a SERIOUS sale going on and also got one free because it was effectively spend $40 and get $50 of stuff... I needed $42, got $51 of stuff).
My first impression? Wow, forget winter heaters... these light bulbs are dangerously hot, like... I wouldn't put them in my lamps hot. From the ceiling with only that on electric-wise, I felt heat pulsating down on me... so for winter, you bet I used them a couple key places...
Second impression? Well, rats... they look kinda yellow, "warm" hued like incandescents. Not AS yellow, no, but after crisp reveals, things went blurry again. It was alright for some places. My friend remarked that he liked this. I, with my 20/15 LASIK vision at work, most certainly did not like feeling like I was in the 20/70 range just because my light didn't discriminate nearly as many details. Still, when I needed that heat source, it DID work fantastically, though 150 watts... whoosh, what a bill. Methinks the space heater was a bit cheaper.
Third impression... light output was WEAK. Seriously weak. 100 watts, on both the 3 way AND the straight up 100... the wall was the same color (brightness), as were floors, etc (in other words, it put out the same amount of actual BRIGHT LIGHT) as 40, yes, FORTY!, watts of reveal. In the era of compact fluorescents and their 7-15 watt boasting privileges, well, I'll overall keep my 40W reveal for my 100 watt natural spectrum jobs, cause DERN, that thing was DIM. Didn't matter where, as I tested thoroughly in several spots with photos on exact settings (no auto-adjusting, just straight "take exactly what I show you" cam settings... and yeah, dim :( (I did, for testing purposes, try it in a lamp... I just feared for the life of my shade after a while)...
The Chromalux comes out to play when snow and hailstorms come my way. Otherwise, its pretty box can play with the brand I call Chroma-sux.
