soothing ... but expensive!Oct 06, 2011

This is a very nice product, it has a wonderful slight honey-minty smell (not menthol ... hard to describe, but nice!)like a lip balm, and when applied it soothes and maybe even a bit of a numbing feel (which is awesome!) but when left for a period 3 of 4 hours it feels as if the skin is very dry there despite the ointment not actually being drying, which is kinda strange sensation. I like it, but it is super expensive ... if one were to get an ounce of this product it would be costing you $60, just to put it into perspective, which is even more expensive then the prescription creams to treat cold sores .... that being said, no regrets in trying it : its easy to keep on the DL in a pocket or purse without proclaiming to the world that you are treating an annoying HSV OB. I did notice a shorter duration of the beast while using it, 4/5 stars only because of the giant price.

My husband uses this for his dry nostrils. It seems to be the only thing that works for him. It is a small container, but goes a long way.
