Greens+ Protein Bars - The best bar none!May 19, 2007
By 1 more rep In my opinion, Greens+ natural flavor protein bars are the best out there. I've been body building for many years and have tried many protein bars and could never seem to find any that either didn't contain sugar or some other unhealthy by product..until I found Greens+ Bars. Firstly, they contain whey protein isolate which is a superior kind of protein. And unlike many other protein bars, they contain the Greens+ formula which is the equivelant of eating a serving of vegetables. High protein diets produce a lot of acid so consuming lots of veggies is necessary to up the alkaline and balance things out. Greens+ bars fit the bill perfectly and having no refined sugars or trans fats make them first choice for me.

By Just a guy I am surprised with all the current reviews that no other reviewer has even hinted at how these bars taste. As such, I feel obligated to provide a review for those lacking the constitution to stomach poor flavor, all in the name of health.
If you are interested in a nutritious protein snack that isn't chalk-full of all the chemical substances jammed into most "healthy" protein bars and taste is of a lower priority...much lower...then I would highly recommend these protein bars.
However, if taste is of equal priority to health, then you may be sadly disappointed in the Greens+ Peanut Butter Natural Protein Bar. As my friend so elegantly put it: "They look like alfalfa mixed with (enter expletive here) and taste pretty much the same to boot." Enough said.
In summary:
Pros - all natural, healthy protein bar sans chemical substances - good amount of protein, vitamins, anti-oxidants, etc.
Cons - only barely edible
I for one will happily eat my box of unnaturally looking, horribly tasting, extremely healthy Green+ Peanut Butter Natural Protein Bars (because I do believe health is more important than taste...and paid my hard-earned cash for these puppies) and keep looking for a new product (because I don't believe that health and tastiness are mutually exclusive).

By J. Morton These bars are one of the very few protein bars that don't have a chemical taste or a chalky texture. I love these bars and use them when I am on the go or as a meal replacement when needed. The ingredients are far superior than many bars. Although these seem a little expensive they are worth the extra cost since they taste great!
