Great smell and all natural. Just ok at lubricationJul 11, 2008

I love that this product is all natural and it smells great. The scent is pretty strong as far as shave creams go and it lasts for a little while after the shave which is a plus in my book. I only use this when I want a quick shave however as it's a non lathering soap so no need for a brush as you can apply quickly to your face. The cooling effect from the menthol and eucalyptus is very nice in the summer as well. The reason for the 4 stars is that as much as I love the product and the smell, it only gives an ok shave. It just doesn't provide much cushion for the razor and isn't a very slick, lubricating cream for those smooth no drag shaves. This is probably the trade off of using natural ingredients rather than synthetics and chemicals to provide more lather and smoother shave. I mostly just use this when I want a really quick shave and don't have time to properly wetshave with face prep and a shave brush with a lathering cream.
