Love This Product And Here is WhyJun 30, 2007
By Nitesky My honest opinion is, that compared to all the other protein shakes I have tried; this is the first protein vanilla shake that I actually like. Nature's Way Reset does not taste chalky or have an awful aftertaste like so many other protein shakes that use Aspartame. Nature's Way Reset uses the natural sweetener, Stevia, which is healthier than sugar as it doesn't spike the blood sugar.
I mix the vanilla protein powder with 8 ounces of cold water and add one ripe banana and one or two ice cubes in my blender. A great vanilla fruit shake that is healthy.
For those who have bought other protein shakes and invested in 1 pound protein powder that they didn't like, try buying a single packet at any health food store to see if you like it. Some grocery stores that have nutrition centers or GNC stores may have the single packets for sale.
I can only speak for myself, the vanilla protein powder tastes great, follow the directions and add fruit to it and yes it did fill me up. Oh my gosh, I lost 2 pounds already and am going to buy the 1 pound container. But like anything else gotta cut the caloric intake, and do more walking and exercise and yes, I say this has helped me!

Great shake for losing weightFeb 19, 2008

This has rapidly become my 'staple' shake of choice. I've tried a few others (including HempShake..not so tasty) but I keep coming back to this. I always make it with skimmed milk; tried water as they suggest in the instructions...not so nice! The most important factors for me with this shake are the very low sugar content (contains stevia and is nice and sweet), high protein content (23g in the two scoops I use to make my shake) and high fiber content; together these mean that I can have one of these in the morning and not feel hungry until early afternoon. One benefit I've noticed (may be imaginary) is that drinking water after this shake keeps me feeling full for longer compared to others. Also contains a multi-vitamin mix which is useful if you're restricting your intake of other foods...

First ImpressionJul 15, 2006

Well, I can't attest to the long term weight loss effects of this product, but I can comment on 1) taste 2) ingredients and 3) mixability.
Taste. I mixed the chocolate with some 'original' flavored soy milk (the instructions suggest water) which adds 17 g of carbs to the 13 g (7 are fiber) that come in the mix, and 110 calories to the mix's 130. Obviously this pretty much doubles your carb and calories (and tripled the fat). However, for me it was worth it, since it produced a fairly satisfying shake. The mix is sweetened with xylitol and stevia. It was fairly easy to mix in a glass with a fork (it would probably be better shaken or blended) and while it managed to be simultaneously thin and a bit fibrous (think moderately mixed fiber powder drink), it actually tasted okay. The fiber went down easy (unlike SlimStyles) and it actually seems to have satisfied me as well as filling my stomach with fiber. I'm sure the soy milk helped.
The ingredients seems pretty good -- xylitol, cocoa, 'natural flavors', maltodextrin, their 'proprietary viscofiber blend', whey protein isolate, stevia and a bunch of vitamins and minerals. So far, the whey hasn't upset my stomach and while the shake may have a *bit* of a stevia/xylitol aftertaste (the strawberry mixed with a couple of real berries might totally kill it), it's pretty slight and I find it preferable to the aftertaste of splenda or aspartame.
So far, so good. If you're looking for something a little less carb or chemical laden to use for meal replacement or diet attempts, this is probably worth a go. At the very least, it's fairly easy to mix and tastes okay. Compared to most of the shakes I've tried, it's excellent.

pretty decentJan 10, 2010
By D. Steele received this product yesterday, tried it blended with water and 2 cubes of ice....it was thick and not too tasty. Second day decided to use skim milk and shake not blend with 2 ice cubes...wow much better!!! I notice I have been using the bathroom more than ususal, and I am a little gassy. Definetly takes away your apetite for at least 4 hours, and when I did eat..I did not eat as much. Will continue to use product..too soon to know about the weight loss.

Hits the spot; keeps me full, perfect for post-workout. But...Jan 24, 2007
By Christopher D. Mueller I always keep a protein mix nearby for post-running as I'm always training for a few events.
I took a chance with this one at a sale at Whole Foods. I'm considering using Amazon to keep buying it. I mix this with skim milk - like mentioned, it suggests water and shows the facts based on that. With the added 9g from skim milk and the 21 per serving from Reset, that's 30g of much needed post-workout protein - and the fact that it keeps me full is perfect as I'm trying to lose a few pounds. The extra vitamins are nice, but I take a multivit so if anything this is adding a few gaps I guess.
Taste: I have a single-serving blender (highly recommended if you consistently make nutrition shakes for one... or margaritas of course) so I can't really say how easy or hard it is to mix. The blender I have actually makes for a perfect - even frothy - concoction and I really, really like the flavor. Almost like a chocolate malt... or as close as a nutrition shake can get.
So why four stars with this great review? Well, this big bottle only contains 14 servings, if you use the recommended 2 scoops. So using this as part of your weight-loss plan can get pricey (appx $1.60 per serving). Hence my hesitation - I think I could find a decent protein shake mix and add fiber for much less.
But I'd not hesitate to buy it again - I think it tastes great and does what it's supposed to do.
