Confusing labelFeb 23, 2012

The product contains a very confusing label. Foremost, the product is called "Natural Factors Mixed Tocopherol Vitamin E" on Amazon's website. I was specifically looking for the "Mixed Tocopherol" variety of Vitamin E. Unfortunately, the "Supplement Facts" portion of the label indicates "Vitamn E (as d-alpha tocopherol)". It further indicates "(from natural mixed tocopherols including beta, delta, & gamma)". So what does that actually mean? You're only getting the "d-alpha" from the batch of ingredients? I haven't seen other products with such cryptic descriptions. The softgels are the same yellow/clear color from other d-Alpha products, very different from the reddish softgels I've had in legitimate Mixed Tocopherol products.

Further, the label claims "Product of USA", but indicates its "Manufactured by Natural Factors Canada". From their website, all of Natural Factors' factories are in Canada. How can it then be a "Product of USA" as they claim? Perhaps all of the "Made in China" labels on everything else we buy can now add a "Product of USA" underneath.

Bottom line -- if you're looking for "Mixed Tocopherols", look elsewhere. This product is too dubious.

I take Vitamin E...let's face it--a lot of people do..But most Vitamin E capsules/gel form have an after taste that lingers for most of the day...Not this brand...This is a simple way to take Vitamin E--capsule/gel form without that sickie feeling other brands leave with you. This capsule in the gel cap form is not the fake Vitamin E, it is the GOOD Mixed D-Alpha Tocopherol. So buy with confidence!!

These mixed tocopherols are much better than the synthetic Alpha only vitamin E the "pharmacomafia" used in that study which was designed to make Vitamin e fail, so they could publish phony scare sories.
While it is true that synthetic Alpha tocopherol doesn't decrease disease, MIXED natural tocopherols, when balanced with natural Gamma E and Tocotrienols, do have prostate protecting effects and reduce your chances of cancers, along with cardio benefits. Make sure you are balancing this with at least half as much GAMMMA E, and tocotrienols, and it will work great.
