Description:

Usage: Take 1 or 2 capsules per day, preferably with juice on an empty stomach, or as directed by your qualified health care consultant. N-Acetyl Tyrosine 350 is an acetylated derivative of the essential amino acid L-tyrosine. Ordinary L-tyrosine is less stable and also less soluble in water, which may result in reduced bioavailability. Acetylation enhances the solubility and stability of certain amino acids.* N-Acetyl Tyrosine supports brain function by improving the synthesis of the catecholamines norepinephrine an dopamine (neurotransmitters).* Other Ingredients: Rice flour, magnesium stearate (vegetable source) and silicon dioxide. Capsule consists of gelatin. No wheat, no gluten, no soy, no dairy, no egg, no fish/shellfish, no nuts/tree nuts.

I take far less than the indicated amount: the equivalent of a chef's "pinch of salt" on a daily basis. It raises one's energy level and clarity much more, and for longer, than a good cup of coffee or Red Bull. And given the price, this can't be beaten. Highly recommended.

As always Jarrow always has high quality. I used another brand before because of the price but it also included a large amount of folic acid. This latter component gives a bad taste in your mouth after taking it, and has been found to have some links to cancer when used in high amounts.

Jarrow does not include this so i changed over. I have always had a good reaction with these.

Also states "no wheat, no gluten, no soybeans, no diary, no egg, nofidh/shellfish, no peanuts/tree nuts" if this is important to you.

I have been using Jarrow calcium supplements for many years so I am very comfortable with the quality of the brand. Tyrosine is taken for many reasons. I think of it for purposes of thyroid disease which I have been tested for and definitely don't have. However, I did experience the loss of a family member and was having difficulty shaking the depression. This did the job after taking it for about 4 weeks and I am no longer taking it. I had also hoped it would help with the insulin resistance which occurred from years of stress dealing with the illness that led to the death of this family member. It gave me the needed to push to jump start my system again. I highly recommend that you use this supplement with caution and only for limited amounts of time unless instructed by a physician.

I take this every night (1 pill) with some caffeine, a B-6, a B Complex, and a DLPA. Works every time. Jarrow has become my favorite supplement brand.
