By Jess Lynne Recomended to me by a co-worker, she's a RN, who is a competitive body builder. She is in phenominal shape & maintains a femenie, non-threatening body. Which is why I asked for & followed her advice. I had my baby & needed to get back into shape and down to my 'fighting weight'in six months. This may sound easy enough except I was on a very strict limitations while pregnant due to complicatios. My job is physically demanding with set standards for fitness; so my goal was to loose fat & gain muscle. I asked which protein mix she recomended that could be use pre/post workout and throughout the day to curb appetite. She gave a container and explained the reason it was best for me was because it didnt have anything extra, no carbs, no sugar, etc., just protein. So I added it to my diet/workout plan. Which consisted of 1500 cal a day (160g protein per day), cardio 5 days a week and weight training 5 days a week. I lost 90 lbs in 6 months. That was almost three years ago. I still use this everyday. In the morning, mix it with fresh fruit and yogurt for a smoothie then drink a one scoop in water before and after my evening workout.

By Jay Goodier While I am no expert, this protein seems to be of very high quality. I have tried both the Vanilla Bean Torte and the Crystal Sky flavors. The Vanilla Bean takes a little more to mix (a blender or blender ball work well) but the taste is fantastic with milk (I use unsweetened vanilla almond milk.) The Crystal Sky is better with water and mixes with absolute ease (no spoon needed). Think of it like Gatorade powder.. It is a white powder that turns blue with water. Depending on your individual taste, I don't think you can go wrong with either.
A little about me. I am the last person people would consider a "body builder." I am tall and reasonably thin (6'4", 205 lbs.) I typically work out 2 or 3 times a week. I use this stuff as a supplement to work outs. I run and lift weights. I typically go after work, and this gives me the extra energy I need to make just about every workout a great one. Depending on my schedule after my workout, I take another hit then too (most of the time.) And here is the real trick: I am 99% less sore the days after a big work out when I use protein. I've read other reviews that say the same. It is true.
Also, there is no question that I am getting stronger. I think that is a combination of things that led to this though: 1 - The protein gives me that extra energy before a workout, so I have a better workout. 2 - I am less sore the next day and more willing to go back to the gym for another session. 3 - These gains give me even more incentive to go make more gains!!! I call this a positive upward spiral.
Best for last: I have lost over 10 lbs in just over a month, 215 lbs to under 205, and that trend is continuing. I think the main factor here is that I am less hungry after a workout and don't pig out on other crap.
Good luck! I highly recommend this high quality, great tasting protein.

By tvano1991 I've purchased Syntrax Nectar Whey Protein in the past, and didn't care for the fuzzy navel flavor. Loved the Caribbean Chiller flavor - yum!!!! I wanted to try something more "neutral" and less overpowering, since I usually mix with frozen fruit and water for a post-workout protein shake.
This stuff is AWESOME! I love the flavor. I mixed it today with a frozen banana, a squirt of sugar free chocolate syrup and some almond milk, and I swear it tastes like a banana split. Yum.
What a great way to get in 24 grams of protein and no carbs or fat. I'm doing Weight Watchers, and a full scoop is only 4 Points Plus.

I just tried the Vanilla Bean Torte and I am in awe with every sip. I wanted to get more protein in my diet since I am now starting a new exercise regimen. I did not want a protein supplement that would make me gain weight. I just wanted to aid in muscle recovery time and help convert fat to muscle. I was advised to to try nectar because it is low calorie but still tasted good. Today I mixed a scoop in my blender bottle with a little 1% milk and a small bottle of strawberry Dan Active (my pro-biotic supplement). I feel like I am drinking a Strawberry Vanilla milkshake for breakfast! There is no graininess and it is very filling. I can't wait to try the other flavors!
