5Healthy Cheesy Flavor For Raw VegansDec 27, 2008
By A. Black "Electra Designs"
I'm a raw vegan who sometimes misses the taste and texture of cheese. I'm really glad I bought nutritional yeast flakes because I can add it to all my raw vegan dishes for added flavor and texture. It makes everything taste cheesy and rich, and it's super nutritious and very affordable. A little goes a long way. I can make raw zucchini taste like macaroni and cheese! I can't wait to make cheesy kale chips in my dehydrator. I have had them before and they taste just like cheezits (but they are raw, green and healthy!)
I know I'm getting my B vitamins when I consume nutritional yeast because it makes my pee bright yellow.

5The Best!Apr 15, 2006
By Torrey Peacock
This is the best nutritional yeast I've been able to find. It actually tastes good! The ingredients list on Amazon is wrong - its a very good source of B-Vitamins, and many other nutrients, including the important trace minerals Selenium and Chromium. If you're looking for a good yeast powder, this is the one!

5Weight loss, energy boost, cat supplementSep 23, 2010
By Caroline Carr
EDIT: A stray kitten came to us with Eosinophilic Granulomas (rodent ulcers or rodent mouth) Took three vets until we found out what was wrong. It was after repeated outbreaks of the lip sores this autoimmune disease causes that I began using Kal yeast in lieu of prednisone and clindamycin. He has been symptom free since, except for one time (last week)when stress triggered it after he escaped outside and became panicked. But after a few days of eating the yeast (in his food), he cleared up - and faster than the medical treatments we used before. I use about 1 T. per 5.5 oz. can. The best part is that he prefers his food with Kal yeast.

First discovered this brand in 1978. Occasionally tried others, to my dismay. This one tastes great, I just grab a spoonful and enjoy eating it dry. Seems to give me an immediate lift that way, along with satisfying the type of "hunger" that drives me to eat high calorie snacks. Add it to my cats' canned food, too; we all like Kal Yeast Flakes!

Local stores charge almost as much for the smaller size, and other web sites charge a higher price or much higher shipping. Wonderful that I can get this through Amazon! Otherwise, I'd be huffing and puffing up the hill to the local store to pay more.

5Delicious and oh so good for youFeb 16, 2010
By Catherine M. Hiller "chillertheater"
I love Kal Nutritional Yeast. It has a delicious nutty flavor, and I put it on brown rice, salad and mochi. It is especially good mixed with flax borage oil. My cats are addicted to it, and I sprinkle it on their food as well. It is rich in B vitamins and about a gazillion amino acids. I always get the blue label, and at this price it was a tremendous bargain. I bought it online because for some reason New York City was out of it. Go figure, I guess the secret is out!

5Kal Yeast makes for a great breakfastOct 15, 2009
By Beverly Merchant "MomOfBenny"
Blends very easily. Has a mild taste. I put a scoop of nutritional yeast in my breakfast blender shakes (also has water, powdered milk and frozen berries or other fruit, and a sweetener such as stevia). Gives a great nutritional boost - and all those B vitamins are great for the "nerves' before a work day begins and I like the protein in it too. Have been taking yeast for 20 years - it did take a few weeks to get used to the taste when I began, since I only stirred it in milk. With the fruit and a little sweetener - it tastes really good.
