NOW® pleasant tasting Nutritional Yeast Powder is produced from a specially selected strain of Saccharomyces cerevisiae. This yeast is grown on enriched purified cane and beet molasses under carefully controlled conditions. This is a primary grown yeast and is therefore NOT a brewery by-product as is brewer's yeast. This ensures freedom from Candida albicans yeast.

I am a vegan..mostly raw. My downfall has been cheese.
This product has a cheesy taste and helps me with my cravings.

I cannot verify the product's taste but will reassure you that my lab loves his doggie biscuits made with nutritional yeast in recipe. Apparently this is very healthy. It is my intent to continue making homemade dog treats and this is not an easy product to find in general grocery stores.
