I actually bought these because I was looking for something for the boyfriend who had UNBELIEVABLE "god-awful make you want to kill yourself or him" gas after eating any kind of food. I was literally afraid he would catch afire if he lit a cigarette while expelling that gas. And I seriously considered breaking up after 6 years because I simply couldn't take it any longer. But I thought that wasn't a good reason to end a relationship so I looked for other options. After watching Dr. Oz one night, I figured that his stomach wasn't digesting food properly thus creating far more than normal methane gas and he refused to take Beeno or anything like that. So, I thought I'd try papaya enzymes since it's all natural with no chemicals. He agreed to try them since there are no chemicals and they taste great. He also smokes which I don't so these have taken away that smoke smell/taste as well. I noticed right away that the "god-awful make you want to kill yourself" gas is no more. He still gets it on ocassion but it's not as frequent and no where near as bad. Yes, these pills saved my relationship. Now they are a staple in the house. I noticed that the teens have been popping these as well after dinner.

Great for people Post-cholecystectomy.May 11, 2011
By GreenEyedGirl I had my gallbladder removed about 5-6 months ago and I recently started having a problem where after eating some types of food I find myself having to run to the bathroom (TMI, I know but if you are someone who is post-cholecystectomy you might find this helpful). However, since I started talking this enzyme it seems to have lessened my problems.
Other things that supposed to help people who have this same problem is take a bulk forming fiber and probiotic. If you are experiencing the same problems that I have recently been experiencing then I feel for you and this papaya enzyme seems to be helping. Good luck to you.

I have been using this natrual product since the 1990's for everything from heartburn (which is essentially acid reflux), indigestion, etc. You name it, if it's stomach oriented Papaya will help you. You can also use it if you over eat, as the enzyme will break down the food in your stomach and aid digestion and absorption of nutrients. I have been buying my American Health Papaya Enzyme at a natural food store, but the price here on Amazon.com has made me switch.

Love this product,I couldn't live without it. I am pregnant and suffer greatly from acid reflux. It helps immediately and keeps me from eating Rolaids by the gallon!!!
