5Minty - saves moneyDec 31, 2012
By L. Fields "SBG"
I got this because I like Metro Mint water, but it's $2/bottle. I can get filtered water almost free out of my fridge, so I really hate buying water. I found a recipe online which was really just to add a few drops of peppermint spirits to some water to make homemade Metro Mint. My kids think it's gross, but I love it. I love that I can customize the amount of mint I want in the water depending on my mood. Even using it daily, it's going to last a long time because it only takes a few drops.

5Great for making mint waterJul 18, 2013
By Jason Clark
Do you love MetroMint water? Wanna make your own for a whole lot less? Get a bottle of these spirits and you can make your own mint water very cheaply. The quality of the spirits are great, as it's more than just essential oil, it's oil plus actual peppermint leaves. Do note, because it's not just oil, there is a distinct green color/tinge to the spirits, so it will lightly color anything you put it in.

Remember, as with all essential oils/spirits, a little goes a long way. I use 7-8 drops per .5L bottle of water as I like it a little stronger. Great aroma, great flavor, highly recommended.

5love it, mice be goneApr 10, 2014
By Nancy R.
i've had a mouse problem for years, and while i've always seen they hate peppermint, this is the only thing that ever seemed to work. i keep a large basin of water on my radiator and whenever i add water to it, i add a few drops of the spirits. Could be a coincidence, but during this cold winter it was the first year i started using these spirits and the first year i didn't have mice. Try it, plus it leaves the apartment with a nice fragrance.

5Migraine pain controlJan 28, 2013
By D. King "Book King"
I have complicated migraines, which means they hit, currently, every other day without fail. I take feverfew liquid extract mornings and evenings to reduce the level of pain that they bring, but feverfew tastes horrible. Peppermint also helps reduce the severity of migraine pain, and it makes the feverfew much more palatable. And it makes your mouth feel nice and fresh! This is the only brand of peppermint spirits I've been able to find that does this. The others taste as bad as the feverfew! I might add, I met a woman who said she was getting pretty good results with peppermint spirits alone.

4Gift for a friends new baby!Jan 14, 2013
By Angry buyer
Brought this for a friends new baby. It's an old school treatment for infant colic, and every new mother should have it on hand. Five drops in six ounces of water and instant relief for the baby!!
