Love it, long lasting, not greasyMay 18, 2012
By janedoe consumer I really love the smell though my husband thinks it's a little too much like the incense burning in Asian Temples. As a lotion, it absorbs quickly with no greasy feeling and the scent lasts for several hours, longer than many perfumes. You may want to remember that if you are going some place in a few hours where you don't want to smell like incense. I would say the strongest scent would be a frankincense/sandalwood. This is a wonderful scent for meditation and relaxation however the lotion absorbs much to quickly to be suitable for massage. There is an oil by the same name that I'm guessing smells the same so that would be good for diffusing or massage. I will get that next time I make an order. The big plus for me is that my very picky daughter loves it. She has very dry skin but hates the feel of lotions. She loves the way this one smells and doesn't feel it after it's on but her skin isn't dry anymore. An all around wonderful product. I will definitely buy it again. If I could make one change, the lotion has a very warm scent and a barely noticeable warm feeling. I wish the lotion itself was somehow physically warming as well but that's a pretty tall order of any lotion. Note: If you order through on Amazon from Vitalife, they charge the same shipping no matter how many things you order so check out their store and that will offset the shipping costs.

By Laura Manko I found this back about 10 years ago at a clearance sale in California. I was so excited to see that Amazon now carried it. The scent is awesome...almost unexplainable...warm...earthy...sexy! Not harsh on your senses! And it is awewome for skin softening! You'll love it!!
I also had a scent by Katherine Deneuve that was wonderful but now unattainable in the States and also a scent I purchased at a perfume shop by the great pyramids in Cairo called Papyrus...which I cannot seem to find again. Any hints? It was also very sensuous and warm and earthy!

The fragrance is the same mysterious, slightly spicy, warm, golden amber of the perfume. While the lotion fragrance is not overwhelming, the base notes linger beautifully, and this is a fantastic way to make the perfume last longer. The lotion itself is lightweight and not greasy at all. It blends in quickly and easily. Sacred Fire is probably not a scent for the perfume novice, but for those seeking something complex and sensual, this can't be beat.
