It sounds amazing, but the scent didn't do it for me. I don't know exactly what I was expecting but this smelled a little old lady. I'll try it again but I wasn't into it.

I remember trying Sacred Fire when I was much younger and not really "getting" it. In the bottle and wet on skin, the cedar is quite strong, and it almost has a medicinal smell. However, as this opens up on my skin, a complete transformation takes place. It softens and warms, and after half an hour or so this turns into the most beautiful, sensual, sophisticated scent. It's a warm amber with no sharp edges and the wood stays in the background, grounding the perfume. I can't wait to buy the lotion and layer this!

In many ways this perfume is similar to Egyptian Garden, which I have also reviewed. Sacred Fire smells of sensual incense, including amber and frankincense, though less smoky than Egyptian Garden. It is an inherently sexy perfume, perhaps to the point of classifying it as an intimate, evening fragrance. Feminine and mystical, yet still classy and elegant. Buy it for the confidant woman who embraces these qualities.

While I love Giorgio, Obsession and Opium, they drive my husband's sinuses crazy. This is the first perfume I used that didn't. I LOVE the way it smells. It's like carrying your own personal incense shop around everywhere you go without provoking loved one's allergies or irritating those with sensitivities. Bonus: since I made this my signature scent, I spend only a fraction of what I used to :)

If you like the smell of incense, you will probably love it.
