No stretch marks!Aug 30, 2010
By Parenting Newbie I LOVE this product. I started using this oil when I was eight weeks pregnant, and used it after the baby was born until my body returned to "normal". I started out with a 25" waist - it was 41" by the 39th week of my pregnancy. I did not get ONE stretch mark. I put it on everyday after I showered. On top of that, my belly never itched. The skin was well hydrated from this oil! It didn't stain my clothes or the bed sheets or towels, and it has a pleasant smell. Every time one of my girlfriends gets pregnant, I buy her a bottle of this oil as a gift. Must have for pregnant women!!

By Red-Eyed Zhaan I got lots of stretch marks with my first pregnancy, starting around 6 months (and I hadn't used any special products to try to prevent them), so I thought I'd try using something the second time around to see if I could avoid getting more. My doctor recommended this as a good product to try, and so I've been using it after every shower starting at 5 months.
I did last longer without marks this time, but right around 8 months, the new batch of stretch marks arrived. I don't know if this oil helped to delay them at all, or if it was just because I had already been stretched out the first time, so it took longer for my skin to be affected by the stretching. Also had a LOT of itchiness all over the tummy, and I didn't find that the oil helped that part at all.
A few extra things: I have always had very, very dry skin. So my skin's probably less elastic in general, and I'm probably more prone to stretch marks than most people because of this. Also, I'm fairly petite, and carried big and right out front with both babies - none of this spread-out pregnant belly that some women have - I had basketball bellies both times. So I can't say I'm surprised I ended up with stretch marks, in spite of the oil. I do think it's possible it could help some women to avoid them, or make them less severe, but only under the right circumstances. If you're genetically likely to get them, you probably still will. This is not a miracle cure.
I do continue to use the oil because it makes the skin feel nice and supple after a shower, and I haven't had any problems with staining clothing.

I was given this product by a friend when I was pregnant with my first child. I now have three children, and I used it during and after all three pregnancies. This oil is awesome! I buy a bottle for all my first-time mommy friends. I used to keep it in the shower as you're supposed to apply it right after you shower. Love it and still recommend it often.

By cookie chick First off, I haven't used this for pregnancy, but for preventing and treating stretch marks and keeping my skin hydrated and soft. I like to remove the label, (which is really easy to do) because I'm not pregnant. It has a very unobtrusive but pleasant smell. I use it after every shower and I love it. It's got all natural, safe ingredients. I only give it four stars because when it's cold it separates and you have to warm it up and shake it- but that's coconut oil for you! NOT MESSY- great product.

By Kenlah0406 I didn't even use this product long enough to see if it even worked b/c the graphics on the bottle come off if you get even the smallest amount of oil on it and it gets all over EVERYTHING. Was not worth using again after all the mess.
