Cocoa ButterNov 02, 2011
By Danielle First, this product got shipping quite quickly. I placed the order on Friday afternoon, and received it on Monday. Amazing.
Secondly, it smells like a dark chocolate bar. Delicious. It looked weird when I opened it, I thought maybe it had molded and formed little colonies, but its just the way it is. It wasn't mold, just the regular shape. The product itself is super hard, I am using this to make deodorant, so I ended up scraping it out with a metal spoon to add to my mixture. You could probably microwave it, but I do not own a microwave. The product will melt on your skin when rubbed in.
Good purchase, good price, would buy again.

By heatheRo I purchased this cocoa butter and another brand to use in making belly lotion during my pregnancy. I liked both products but I loved this one. It melted better and smelled better than the other. I also liked that this one is pure food grade cocoa butter while the other was not. will definitely purchase again soon!!

Immediately healed chapped skin on my son.Feb 14, 2012

It's a small hobby of mine to fine the best skin products out there for myself and my son. We are very far complected and break out easily. For several years I have purchased somewhat expensive French products for the both of us and they have worked. I've reviewed a particular brand for my son. While those have provided great protection, they haven't healed things overnight.
My son is seven, he's got to be the fairest kid on the block. We live in MN and it's dry here in the winter. Around his lips and his lips were chapped pretty badly. I melted a very small amount of this stuff and put it on him prior to bed time. He woke up and the cracking and flaking was gone. The change was so drastic that even a staff member at his school's before/after school care noticed it. "Wow, the chapping on his lips and around his lips are gone. The chapped skinned disappeared." He then reported to her, "Yeah, it made me hungry for chocolate. It smells like food."
It's true, it's harder than a rock. It's hard to scope out of the container, it's hard to get it at the right temperature to melt it. I wouldn't put this in the microwave myself, I use a double boiler. However that's the perils of using a pure product like this and I would take this over cocoa butter that has a ton of wax filler/softener in it.
I put it on my hands at night and were "beauty gloves" as my hands get pretty dry and chapped in the winter months which ages my hands. I can report that it does help.
From my prospective, it is a TREATMENT not a LOTION.

By Genia This cocoa butter was a little hard to work with, but that could just be me. It worked beautifully to make lotion bars and such, just a pain to get the right amount out of it.

By LMT I've just recently started going "all natural" when it comes to cosmetics, my health and my home environment. I decided to order this Now Foods Cocoa Butter as one of the ingredients needed to make my own lotion bars and lip balm. I have yet to make either of those things as I have been using this cocoa butter for both needs. It's wonderful! It smells like chocolate and the tiniest little bit goes a long way. This will, from now on, be a regular purchase of mine.
