Super Fisol® Fish Oil: The better way to take fish oil. Super Fisol® is a concentrated blend of EPA & DHA containing 40% EPA (Eicosapentaenoic Acid) and 30% DHA (Docosahexaenoic Acid) giving you 70% Omega-3 fatty acids. Targeted Release™ Super Fisol’s unique enteric coating ensures the following key benefits not found in uncoated fish oil supplements. Proper release in the intestines, not in the stomach 3x better absorption by the body than non-enteric coated fish oils- meaning more EPA/DHA gets into your system No fishy repeat (burp-back), fishy breath or gastrointestinal discomfort Smaller effective dose because of superior absorption Helps Reduce Risk of Heart Disease Supportive but not conclusive research shows that consumption of EPA and DHA Omega-3 fatty acids may reduce the risk of coronary heart disease (see nutrition information for total fat content). Additional Benefits Research confirms the important role of Omega-3 fatty acids in maintaining healthy blood triglyceride levels, as well as supporting the heart, skin and joints.* Guaranteed Purity Molecularly Distilled Free of contaminants including testing of pesticides, herbicides, PCBs, dioxins, and heavy metals such as mercury. Dosage Take 1 softgel up to 3 times daily with water. Because Super Fisol® is enteric-coated and better absorbed by the body, its required dose is less than taking non-coated fish oil.

Quickly lowers triglycerides, raises HDLDec 11, 2011

I can only say this in my case and I am not making any medical claims. But, I know for a fact this product greatly lowered my triglycerides from a high to a normal level and increased my HDL (good cholesterol) to an above normal level that the doctors find terrific.
Once when I didn't take them for several months, my triglycerides went back up. When I started taking them again, they went back to normal. So all I can conclude is that this is a terrific product.
This fish oil does cause some repeat and reflux. You can get a fishy taste with it. Now, I'm referring to the Super Fisol and not the regular Fisol. I've never had this issue with the regular Fisol. So, I won't be buying the Super Fisol again. This may or may not be a problem for you.
One negative - it does thin your blood to some extent. Before you go to the dentist or have surgery or whatever, you might want to stop it. Talk to your doctor about this if it concerns you. Any fish oil will tend to have this effect with most people.

This is the first fish oil that did NOT make me burp fish. Seems to be a good product

Good product, no fishy after taste.Jun 11, 2009
By A mom from Atlanta... I started taking this supplement because I do not have fish included in my diet. The other fish oil supplements that I tried first, were not coated. The FISH taste revisited me throughout the day. Yuk. With Fisol, this does not happen. Eating fish is a better way than supplements to get the omegas, I agree. But if you want to take a supplement, this is a great product. I have not experienced ANY negative side effects from taking Fisol (as stated by another reviewer).

Size mattersFeb 05, 2010
By Home@beach There is nothing wrong with the product as a whole, I just thought the capsules were going to be smaller. It seems impossible to find fish oil products that are small. They were for my daughter and she can't swallow them.

Very good product at a very good priceDec 22, 2009
By Doug Stevens I've been taking Fisol's enteric coated fish oil capsules for at least three years in an effort to keep HDL up as I work to keep LDL lower, and also to try to keep my joints moving a bit more freely. I switched to Fisol product because I found that the non-enteric coated capsules left me with some jitters in my gut and sometimes an aftertaste. I've not had a single instance of such trouble with Fisol. I've managed to get HDL to move up modestly, but exercise might have had more to do with that than Fisol. In any case, the doc thinks that for someone in his late 50s my heart and blood are in good shape. I'd like to think Fisol helps, and it's certain that it's not doing any harm.
