By DSM I think that this product is great. I really didn't think that it would work but it does. The trick is to put it all over the under arm not just where the hair grows. You need to go lower down the side and higher up the arm. Form a large circle and wet it twice if you need to. My friend was disappointed with hers until I made these suggestions then she was quite amazed and it doesn't stain as far as I know. So put it on liberally and don't worry it's only salt. I did a test and mine lasted two and three days most of the time.
P.S. If you're going on a date, a wedding or something really important you might feel more comfortable with the old stand-by but for everyday use and to stay away from the chemicals this is great.

By J This works great. I have only used the stone (not the spray) and I find I need to apply it twice a day as a deoderant. I run the stone under water and then apply it. I have switched to this permanently and will not go back to traditional deoderants/anti-perspirants due to the aluminum. The stone lasts awhile...I've had mine over a year and still have plenty left, so you can justify the higher cost because you won't be buying it as often.

By Christopher D. Hawkins This natural deodorant is more effective than any chemical laiden product on the drug store shelves. It costs slightly more to buy, but it will last you over a YEAR! And, those yellow stains on your white shirts that you attribute to perspiration...? Guess what, they aren't from perspiration... they are from the aluminum and other harmful metals and chemicals in traditional deodorants. This product makes the entire deodorant/antipirspirant industry obsolete and a health harming scam.
The skin if very porous and absorbable, especially in the sensitive underarm areas and a daily dose of aluminum and chemicals will cause ill health eventually. Stop using that crap and use this natural salt stone... it contains all of the trace minerals that your body needs and the salt helps to keep you dry. If your body needs minerals it will abosorb them, if it doesn't, they will add protection from odor and staining. Need I go on???

By Mean Mr. Mustard Like many who've come before me, I must sing the praises of the little stone that put me in the zone! The 'safe to stand next to hot chicks in a crowded elevator zone,' that is. No joke, this product works. Here's the trick though - use some bad-ass soap like Dial antibacterial (white), and scrub your pits like a champ 'til you've annihilated all traces of funk. Then, apply this here salt of Zeus LIBERALLY, like for at least 20 seconds per pit. You do that, Funk Fighters, and you're good to go!
Oh yeah, like another reviewer said, don't drop it. Not only is it a sin, but it will shatter, like your dreams of freshness achieved.
Disclaimer: Some of you may be genetically predisposed to sweat like a mofo, and no amount of salt is gonna do you justice. If that is your fate, then bite the bullet, and spring for some industrial strength stuff. Just don't hate on the stone; blame mom & dad.

By K. Boericke Here's what I have found with this after one year of almost continuous use....
It is very effective. I sweat a LOT compared to many men. There have been times when I have found that it does not work (seemingly), but I have found a few tricks in the process. The first is that if you do not SCRUB under your arms in the shower it may not work. If you come out of the shower and your arms have any stink to them, then you didn't do your job in the shower correctly, and the stone will not work all day. Second, my shirts often have smell in them, which causes me to smell when my underarms get wet. The way I have found to combat this is to soak my shirts in epsom salt water for 24 hours before putting it in the wash.
Following these rules has made this stone work perfectly even on the hottest days. After one year, I think my stick has gone down about half an inch. I expect to get at least one more year out of it. After wetting, I rub it about 20-30 times under my arm (I don't know if it actually helps to repeat so many times, but it helps my peace of mind).
