I have finished a whole bottle of Barlean's The Essential Woman and although my results are not as obvious as what the other users are commenting, I do notice my facial skin has more glow. I did not notice anything different with my hair or nails. I have just ordered my second bottle here on Amazon since the price here is better than where I previously purchased it. I take these for years now. They are like a "system lube" for women. Each of my friends who have had hot flashes and tried these, they subsided with the first try--usually 2 or 3 depending on your own system. I like the combination rather than just the OMEGA's that doctor's are now recommending. I take them a.m. and p.m. and would recommend to any woman to use. They even help your joints, memory, all of the hormonal issues we experience as we get into the silver age!

By adunn I LOVE these vitamins! Not only do they make my hair thicker and my skin clearer and smoother, but they also make my monthly visitor much easier to deal with. I tend to switch my regimen up throughout the month, normally just taking 3 a day, but when the cramps set in and the bitchiness starts, I up my dosage to 6 and voila! I'm back to my old self again. No bloating, no cramps, no breakouts, and lighter and shorter periods. What more could a girl ask for? The only drawback is that I have to clip my nails and get my hair cut more often because they grow so quickly. That's probably a "win" for most people, though. Do yourself a favor and buy these vitamins. They're worth every penny.

By Tah Tah I've used many of the Barlean products before but this one by far has the best results. I've noticed changes in the health of my hair, skin and nails and more importantly, my usual monthly seems more regular and less crampy. I'm taking this supplement as my only source and think that the results speak for themselves.

So I don't take the recommended dosage, I thought it was too high. But I have been taking these for months and I saw an decrease in my monthly menstrual pain. I had no idea that this would be a side effect. Apparently after researching this online I found many other women who claim that fish oil and flax oil have helped their cramps. The birth control did nothing for me, but this product did! Great product, great packaging, better if taken with food. Like all fish oil, it can cause a slight fishy taste to linger if you take these on an empty stomach.
