Further studies need to confirm the impressive results of a randomized double-blind, placebo-controlled clinical trial, but "this is the first study that demonstrates efficacy and safety" and "this degree of improvement in cold symptoms is dramatically better than other common OTC treatments, including vitamin C, echinacea, and zinc preparations."

Works better than any prescription drugs and is SAFEFeb 20, 2011
By R. Saracho I typically don't write reviews, but this product is worth it. I'm always looking for safe home remedies for my family. This past week we all got really sick and had a horrible cold with the worst dry-painful cough we had ever experienced. My husband was given a prescription Robitussin for the cough. Me and the kids were trying all kinds of home remedies for the cough like teas, raw honey, rubs of peppermint and eucalyptus oil, etc. We were also recommended another homeopatic syrup, which is also supposed to be very safe (Chestal Honey). None of the home remedies provided a real relief. Then my husband brought home "Umcka ColdCare". He started taking it and tossed away the Robitussin, this was much better. Then I tried it, and I felt immediate relief. I was hesitant to give it to my 4 year old, because the bottle states is for kids 6 years and older (The formula I got does contain alcohol). Then I found out they also carry an alcohol-free version and a Children's formula for kids 2 and older. This has been a miracle to us! Nothing else seemed to get rid of our cough and this worked immediately for all of us.

By Mama A I get a cold any time I get stressed out which is a lot considering I've been working three jobs and going to school full time. I generally am out of commission for no less than a week when I get a cold, but the past few times I've gotten sick I've used Umcka and it knocked my sick time down to one or two days. It tastes like candy and it makes being sick suck less. I don't know how they do it, I'm just happy that they do.

By super g Reviewed before trying and based on great reviews, gave it a try. If you use at the beginning of a cold, this is my new favorite cold medication. Seems to definitely do what they claim. I'm not always a homeopathic person but this is definitely worth a try.

I give everybody in my family Umcka at the first sign of a cold. It really helps shorten the duration of colds, and I only give it to them 2x/day, morning and night. I am pretty sure that if I would give it as indicated it would work even faster.
