5Amazing!Jul 18, 2006
By Molly
This is a wonderful toner. It moisturizes without drying, soothes sensitive skin, and the rose smell is delicious. It feels luxurious to apply in the morning to start the day, for a calming lift in the afternoon, or a relaxing way to prepare for sleep. A small amount goes a long way, so I've been surprised by how long a bottle lasts. I can't think of any way to improve this product.

5this stuff is awesome, peopleOct 07, 2008

I'm addicted! totally addicted. I ran out this week and couldn't bring myself to throw out the bottle until the new bottle arrived in the mail, hoping I could eek out a few more skin nourishing droplets.

you have got to try it! I have insane combination skin, with a forehead that gets so greasy you'd think someone had drained 6 pounds of bacon on it and cheeks that get dry, red and patchy if the wind blows a little too hard on them. I dampen a cotton pad with this and stroke it across my skin, and the results are amazing - cheeks are softened, forehead is cleared of shiny greasiness and relieved of the bumps that can so often be found there. it's alcohol free and doesn't dry out my skin, either. the smell is an artificial rose smell, which may not be for everyone, but others have remarked that it has that clean soap smell instead. the last bottle I bought lasted me for about 9 months of once daily swabbings, plus whatever portion my daughter has used, so it's also a bargain, even counting the shipping cost!

I've been having a lot of trouble finding good products made by companies that don't do any animal testing, so was I relieved to find that the manufacturer's website states that "all thayers products are vegetarian and never tested on animals". yay!

5Did you know...?Apr 20, 2009

Thayers Witch Hazel-Rose Petal alcohol-free toner can also be used to clean your makeup brushes. It contains some of the essential ingredients found in a popular makeup artist brand of brush cleaner...witch hazel (a cleansing ingredient) and grapefruit seed extract (known for it's antibacterial properties). What it doesn't have in common with the MA brand is alcohol, which is a very drying ingredient, both for the face and natural hair brushes. Try it; I think you will agree that this is a great multi-tasker product!

5Really wonderful productAug 09, 2010
By Terry T "Peak Mom"
A self proclaimed cosmetic skeptic, I've been using this for 3 months now. I am 48 years old and honestly my skin really does looks years younger. Thayer's witch hazel w/rose has evened out my skin tone, gotten rid of red patches, and oily t-areas. Also, wrinkles are less noticeable now because the witch hazel cleans out the dirt, oils & make-up trapped inside the fine lines which always makes the lines look worse. I also use it on my neck and it has tightened up the skin under my jaw as well.
I went out to the lake today and throughout the day I spritzed my face with a bottle of toner I kept in my cooler. What a delightful treat from the heat!
I like the soft rose scent. It's not too overpowering to me and I follow it morning and evening with a moisturizer. To make application easier, I clean out an old moisturizer jar and put a stack of round gauze pads inside. Then I pour the witch hazel into the jar and cover. The pads are ready & hassel free.
Good thing is it's cost effective, lasts a long time & if you don't like it you're not out a whole lot of money - give it to a neighbor for her or him to try!

5Best toner, ever! Use it with a compressed mask!Feb 23, 2011
By Julia
I am an Asian (from Taiwan). Back to the days in my country, we always use a toner with a compressed mask. Leave the mask on your face for at least 15 minutes, and your skin will feel refresh and comforting. But not all toner can do this, only those without alcohol or thermal spring water can do that, or your skin may be irritated. I tried many toners, including those from Japan. This one is the best and the cheapest. It helps to soothe my skin, especially when I have some rash or redness because of using wrong skincare products or allergy. It can reduce redness but still moisturizes my skin without stickiness. Also, after applying the mask, I will use some moisturizer. I feel that my face absorb moisturizer very easily. Keep your skin moisturized and away from sun burn are always the best ways to prevent aging apprearance. This is the little trick that we always do back to my country. This is a really amazing product. I have various masks and constantly change my stock. But this one is definitely always on my shelf.

Thayer has lots of toners, but this one is the best.
